Wedding Planning Tips
These are not pictures of my community because for the simple fact of respect of not taking
pictures of them. But let me tell you this is what my community and many communities across
the world look like. You've got millions of homeless people who need food, jobs, love,
shelter and someone their who gives a darn.
Today is November 14, 2007. Today my husband and I went to Sam's Club and purchased
quite a bit of food for the local food pantry and kitchen. We purchased turkeys, can goods
and lots of other items because thanksgiving is coming up and they are really hurting bad
for donations. When we walked into the kitchen their had to be atleast 300 people in line
and over 20 people signing up to get served. This is just one of our local pantries out of
many that our town has. Our town has only a population of 30,000 people so that really hits
home with us.
Our unemployment rate in my county is more than triple the national average. We have had
our local RCA close down which sent over 2000 jobs some where else. Along with 7 other
factories that have closed over the past 10 years. Resulting in the loss of thousands of jobs.
This has really touched us on a personal level. Our families lost their jobs, they struggle to
get by and we do what we can for our community by donating our time and food.
So what does this have to do with you? Well, we are asking for any food donations that you
can give other than meat products. Can foods, boxed foods or whatever you can send we
will gladly take and give it to our local food pantry and kitchen.
