A wedding can be a time filled with expenses and income always being a little short. As a bride or a groom, making a few compromises on your guest list is not ideal. Guests could be your relatives or friends or colleagues. You can’t call one and leave out the other. So what do you do when you can’t cut the guest list?
There is much expenditure involved in a wedding. If you can cut down some of the not so important expenditures you can accommodate all your guests. Now what can be cut and what cannot be cut.
The expenditure on flowers and decorations can be a cut a little bit. If you are going to have plenty of guest, the flower arrangements should be placed only in the corners so that nobody should knock them over. You can go for cheaper decorations like balloons etc.
The venue for the reception or cocktail can be rethought. If it is a big wedding, hiring a beach or park will work out less expensive than going for a five star hotel or a complete wedding set to be created.
The food is another place, where with very small changes big money can be saved. If you are having two or three varieties of non-vegetarian or vegetarian dishes, one dish can be cut off. This will reduce your expenditure drastically and help you accommodate ten other guests’ at least.
If you are someone, who is not very fashion and jewelry conscious, you too can make some changes. Cut down the budget on your clothes for all other events. The wedding gown or suit is too special and so no compromises to be made there. The outfits for the reception, cocktail, prayer meeting, etc can be bought at a lesser price. Even a small compromise like $50 on each dress will help accommodate more guests.
The bride and groom can postpone their wedding gifts to each other and spend that amount on accommodating guests. After the wedding and honeymoon, you can buy something special for each other, as by then all expenses would have been met and you will know exactly how much money you have in hand.
Buy a wedding favors for all your guests which are not too expensive. Something very small with a nice personalized tag is sure to touch everybody heart. Making tiny compromises will give you all that extra money you need to accommodate guests. This will make all your guests happy and will save you the heart breaking task of leaving some out.
